This is a wonderful software program for creating very effective Resumes. I’ve spent lots of money on a professional creating my resume and then decided to buy the software to do it myself. The one I created with the Resume Maker was as good if not better then the one I had done professionally. Also, they have many different headers and footers to create your own style. I had some difficulty installing the software, and I called the 800 number for free tech support and got it installed with thier help no problem. GREAT product! I highly recommend the investment
1 Stars Very Poorly Written Software
Difficult to navigate. Nearly impossible to make revisions or correct mistakes. It is much easier and more effective just to write it in MS Word from the beginning. I tossed it in the garbage.
4 Stars good for simple resumes
This is good simple resume software.. The only thing i did not like was all the resume samples are very general. this does not have all the positions sample resumes I thought it could have… But other than that is great to have at home for a simple resume…
4 Stars A very good place to start
I had not thought about a resume for 20 years and was going to try to find a resume service. However an attorney friend of mine suggested that I start by using a program. I searched Amazon and read the reviews and settled on Resume Maker. I am a 50+ executive and found the program very helpful. The format suggestions are good. I used the sample resumes and alternative word suggestions. The work processor was easy to use. I could go back and make modifications to sections easily. However I could not figure out how to change the over all resume format without starting over. I also could not add or subtract sections once the resume was started. I finally got the export to Word to work on the third try. Now that the resume is in an acceptable draft form, I intend on having a professional format it in Word and I will make changes there. I would not buy the deluxe edition unless you need all the on-line support and services. All in all this was a great place to begin and it got me over my initial “writer’s block”. I was able to get a good first draft produced from which I can build in Word.
2 Stars Product good but support is terrible
The product is fairly easy to use though re-ordering and removing sections is not very intuitive. Spell checking is very slow. Also, I had a problem where, after I already purchased and activated the product, it said I had to enter the activation key again. When I did it said I already entered the key. Now I can’t get at my resume. I have not been able to get any phone or email support at all.
